July Favourites :)

Hey guys, so I can't believe how fast this month has gone! it's crazy :) I love picking out my favourites - some may be familiar since I am quite vocal with things that I absolutely love :)

Revlon ColourStay ShadowLinks (£2.99/1.4g)
I love the concept of the shadow links as you can create your own personalised palette which I love because I'm a person who usually knows what they want, so picking and choosing is definitely for me. I have been loving this colour as it's my go to shade if I am in a rush, I will just blend it in my crease (since it is a few shades darker than my skin) and it will make my eyes look more defined with minimal effort :) It is in the colour Cocoa and I really think everyone should have a shade like this :)

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Make-up SPF 10 (£28.50/30ml)
I've raved about this foundation in my post 'Battle of the Foundations' as this is my perfect foundation: high coverage, easy to blend, awesome range of shades and long lasting. I have been wearing it all month because it is something I can count on without any thought and I know it will last throughout the day. Since it has been sunny in England the SPF 10 really comes in handy :) My shade is 4N2 Spiced Sand.

bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 foundation (£25.00/6g)
Carrying on with what I was saying in the last paragraph, it's been sunny in England and I've found that bareMinerals Matte foundation is awesome as a powder. Surprisingly, I powder a lot less in summer because I think it looks reeeally noticeable, so I just tend to apply this around my nose and cheeks (where I get oily the most). I don't mind if I get slightly oily in the sun because it makes my skin look natural. My shade is 'Golden Tan' :)

Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Tamarind and Purifying Micro-Pearls (£19.00/125ml)
I've very recently raved about this (full review here), I've been using it for 2 weeks and this sample size is almost about to finish but I'm surprised it's lasted this long to begin with. This cleanser is just amazingly good at removing make-up with minimal product and effort and I know if I hadn't tried this sample I would have never thought about purchasing it which would have been my deepest unknown regret. I literally love it.

Clinique Take The Day Off Make-up Remover for Lids, Lashes and Lips (£17.00/125ml)

I did a post about this product a while back (full review here) and I'm still using it! This is a very good product, I use it whenever I have a waterproof mascara on which is near enough every day due to summer :) It's just effective and efficient and most importantly: gentle. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good eye/lip make-up remover.

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading about what I have been loving to use this month :) Comment telling me what you have enjoyed :) Be sure to subscribe :)

Every Girl Should Have: Teasing Comb

Hey Guys :)
So I have been loving thinking about products for this series of what I think every girl should have :) and today I am going to introduce you to a hair saviour, the teasing comb :)

I think every girl needs this - we all have those days where our hair isn't co-operating and just seems flat and lifeless, for me this usually happens on the day after I wash my hair, and dry shampoo can sometimes give volume but for me it doesn't hold it (especially if you have thick long hair, it's just too heavy). This product is a Godsend because it teases hair from the root, meaning the volume will stay longer, I also like how you have control over products like this, so I can control how 'big' I want my hair to look :p

The end of the teasing comb is pointed which is also amazing as you can part your hair with ease - it's so useful, I cannot even express how long it took me to part my hair with my usual comb, but this really does it in seconds.

I love this product, because it's cheap, fast and effective and I have no regrets for buying it :) I bought my Babyliss one from Amazon for £3.99, which you can buy here

I hope you enjoyed this latest instalment of Every Girl Should Have :) Thanks for reading, remember to comment and subscribe  :)

Review: Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser

Hey guys! :)
So today I wanted to do a review on a product I honestly have not had for very long, and believe me, it is already on my wishlist of things I need right now. The product I am talking about is the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Tamarind and Purifying Micro-Pearls (£19.00) for combination to oily skin (That was a mouthful), I received a sample of this, and a few other Clarins products like 2/3 months ago when Clarins were doing some sort of promotion. Why did I not try it straight away? I was already using other products and I really don't like to mess up my routine if I am not going to purchase the full size straight away, you can see how much hope I had for this product. No, scratch that, It's not like I had no hope for the product it's more like I thought it would just be another cleanser, ya know, nothing special. Man, I was so wrong. Let me give you a list of why I love this so much.

1) A little goes a long way: I know we have all  heard this expression but dayum you don't know the meaning of it until you try this cleanser, like I put a pea sized amount on and thought 'this might be too much', how freaky!
2) Squeaky clean feeling: I feel weird when I say that after using this my face feels so clean and refreshed that all the other times I washed my face without this seems like I was just kidding myself. But really, it's like my pores themselves feel clean.
3) Actually takes make-up off: Now, if you are a girl you know how important this is, I use Estée Lauder Double Wear and this actually gets it all off, which is surprising to me, cause that foundation doesn't want to go anywhere (which is why I love it so much).
4) Matte finish: At the moment I only use this at night so I don't reap the benefits of the matte finish it provides, but I really like how it gives a matte finish without being drying on the skin, literally it's crazy but so awesome.
5) Smells Goooood:  I love the way this smells, it smells so refreshing, like the ocean :)

This product basically does what a cleanser should do but does it so unbelievably well. I would recommend this to any one who is looking for a new cleanser because this literally performs to a level that I didn't know existed. The one negative may be the price but for the amount of product you use, I think it is definitely worth it, this will be on your bathroom counter for a while :P

I hope you enjoyed this review, let me know what you think :)

Every Girl Should Have: Hair Clamps

Hey :)
So today I wanted to start doing a series of what I think every girl should have, these things will be the most practical and most basic of things, but still very necessary and most of all - life saving :P

Today's mention is hair clamps, I didn't just stumble across these one day - I was actively searching them out. I first came across these at the hairdressers like 5/6 years ago and the hairdresser would just stick these in my hair whilst she was doing her thing and they just felt amazingly secure! I actually purchased mine like a year or two ago and honestly I still haven't lost them all because I make sure to keep them where I can see them :P It's just perfect for whatever you want to do, for example, sectioning off your hair when you are blow-drying, curling or straightening, when you wash your face it works as well as a hair tie and whenever I am at home it will be in my hair just keeping the majority of my hair out of my face.
I purchased mine from Boots and they give you six in a pack, 3 white and 3 black, for £3.59, which I think is a really good price for something that you will use everyday without fail.
I hope you enjoyed the start to the series of what I think every girl should have :)

My Handbag Make-up Kit

Hey :)
So today I wanted to share what is in my handbag make-up kit as I have spent so much time deliberating what I need and what I don't through trial and error and now I think I have got everything I need :) I'll be showing you the extremes of how much I carry so beware :P

Mini make-up bag
This is one thing I think every girl needs if they are carrying make-up in their bags, because sometimes things can get messy or just lost in the abyss that is a handbag and believe me it has happened waaay too many times. A pencil case is usually the perfect size for placing your on-the-go make-up essentials, really all you need is something that you don't mind getting messy on the inside. I bought this pencil case from Amazon because it's cheap and it looks cute :) Buy it Here

Brushes
So I am a sucker for brushes and so when I saw that realTechniques had brought out a mini brush set (£9.99) I literally bought it right then and there (and it is what inspired me to do this post). This set comes with everything you need: a face brush, a 'foundation' brush, and an eye-shadow brush, the best thing is that they can really do whatever you want them to do. I use the face brush for applying powder, but I think it could also be used for mineral foundation and maybe even liquid foundation (it's just a little looser than the expert face brush). I use the 'foundation brush' for concealer and omg, it is amazing, I don't usually put concealer on with a brush but this has changed the game for me. I wouldn't use this brush for actual foundation just because I think it is a little too small and it would probably take you forever. The mini eye-shadow brush is also versatile for example it's an amazing inner corner highlighting brush but stiff enough to pack on colour, yet could also help blend too. I personally use this brush for my inner corner and also to stop my eye-shadow from creasing and I love this brush too.

Mirror
This should be a staple in everyone's make-up bag because you never know what may happen :P There may not always be a bathroom around either and so having your own compact mirror really does make a difference. I got this one from Boots (£2.99) because I wanted something that I didn't mind getting thrown around, was slim and I didn't want anything that heavy either, so this does the job perfectly.

Concealer
So I won't ever carry a full size foundation with me but concealer is always a must, for emergency spot concealing or just touch ups, and so I have two that I carry around with me. The first one is my Revlon ColourStay concealer in 06 Deep Fonce (£6.99), I carry this one because it's a liquid and so will blend super easy and just perfect for touch ups. The other one I carry is my M.A.C studio finish concealer in NW35 (£15.50), I carry this one because of the amount of coverage it gives and so is excellent for a more major skin concern.

Eye-shadow

So I won't put eye-shadow in this kit everyday, I will only do it if I am having a really really long day and so I will probably use a single eye-shadow just so I can carry it around with me. M.A.C Bronze, which is in a Frost finish (£13), is one of the colours I would take with me as nothing beats a nice brown colour.

Eyeliner
Again eyeliner won't be in my kit everyday simply because my eyeliner does tend to last, and also because there might be a chance that I may mess it up :), but for really long days, I will reapply my eyeliner if I think I need some more, and there is no harm in carrying some since it doesn't take up that much space. I've been using Rimmel London Soft Kohl Eye Pencil in Sable Brown 11 (£2.99), which I love because it's smooth and pigmented.

Lip-balm
It's always good to keep your lips moisturised and I was on the Baby Lips bandwagon as soon as it was released a year ago. I especially like 'Peach Kiss' (£2.99) because it's just gives something else extra than just a standard lip balm, just a little hint of colour and so I love it ;) it's fool proof.

Powder
Do I have to go on about how oily my skin is? Powder is my life, it's the one thing I absolutely need critically out of all of my picks - you will always be able to find powder and a face brush in my bag. Controlling oiliness and making sure your make-up looks fresh is just two of the many uses powder has and is an absolute essential for everyone. At the moment I am using the Rimmel London Stay Matte in 005 Silky Beige (£3.99), I've went through so many of these and it does do the job, it's like my personal mission now to find something better.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I carry around with me everyday :) Comment below telling me what your handbag staples are :)

June Favourites :)

Hey :)
So this post is going to be about what products I have enjoyed in June (which went super quick if you ask me). On to the products!

Benefit - The POREfessional (£24.50/22ml)

Who in this world likes pores?? I sure don't, and so when I first heard about this primer I really really wanted to try it, anything that can help minimise the appearance of my pores is a God-send in my opinion. This product is pretty awesome, obviously it isn't going to get rid of your pores however there is a noticeable reduction in how your pores look and that's why I liked this product - because I can tell if I have used it or not. I only have the sample version of this because it is kinda expensive, but now I know I like it I probably will purchase it in the future, also the sample hasn't even run out yet so I know that this product will last.

Soap & Glory - Foam Call (£6.50/500ml)

So, before this purchase I had never tried anything from Soap & Glory, I know, crazy right? I love this product, it is literally everything I want in a body wash. I love foam so this instantly caught my interest. The smell...is amazing I have no idea how to even begin to describe it, it says it's a mix of orange, grapeseed, peppermint, but just trust me - it smells amazing. I would recommend it to everyone - especially students because it's a massive bottle and honestly it's not going anywhere which I love since I am very liberal with my usage of body washes (which is a good thing).

Lush - I Love Juicy (£10.75/250g)
The shampoos from Lush is something I have always been interested in, (maybe because it's handmade?) but I purchased this because I wanted a shampoo that will really cleanse my hair because it gets greasy really quick and because of the amount of products I put on it anyway (like heat protection, sea salt spray, hairspray, dry shampoo etc). I really do like this shampoo, my hair feels so clean after, however it is quite expensive for a shampoo but since I bought it to cleanse my hair, I only use this once a week. The smell of this shampoo is just so nice! It has ingredients like mango, pineapple and kiwi and so it isn't overly strong - it smells like... a really nice juice (maybe that's where the name came from?).

M.A.C - Studio Finish Concealer (£15.50/7g)

Ever since I heard about this concealer I knew I wanted it so naturally I made a beeline for this product when I had the chance to visit a M.A.C store. It is everything I dreamed it to be. If you want a concealer that matches your skin tone completely, that gives full coverage, is easy to apply and is travel friendly, then this right here is your dream product. What I love about this product is that it is best applied with your fingers (you can use a brush) but the heat of your fingers make this product more creamy and so will blend in like a dream, even if I do use a brush I will still pat it in with my finger to make sure it has set, your fingers are literally the make-up tools that God has given. I gravitate towards M.A.C when I want something I know will work and they have never let me down, plus I think the prices are really affordable compared to other brands.

Got2b - Beach Matt Texturising Salt Spray (£3.99/200ml)

Yet again I have been slow to the bandwagon on yet another trend: sea salt spray. However once I did try my friends spray, I went out and bought my own soon after. I absolutely love curls and waves for the summer, I just feel like the sun makes curls look so much more vibrant and alive. This product works in a weird but awesome way - it sorta dries out your hair, making the waves you made artificially look more natural, this particular one makes your hair matte which I do really like. You can also add this to damp hair to just add texture which I like to do on the days which I'm not doing anything special. It looks nice, and another bonus is that you don't need a lot of it too, so I know that by the end of summer I will probably have some of this left, which I think is pretty awesome for the price. Overall, I think it's a good buy.

Cotton Wool Double Faced Round Pads (£1.89/100pk)

I feel late to the game on this one, and slightly weird for writing this in but it has honestly impressed me that much that I just had to include it. I always used to but plain cotton wool in those huge packets because it was just handy and you can make whatever size you want...I forgot what exactly inspired me to buy these round pads instead but man I am so glad I did buy them, they are just everything I need. Both sides are textured differently, one side has a quilted effect which is very soothing on the skin, I prefer to use this side in the morning. The other side has a grainy texture which is perfect if you want to make your toner exfoliate your skin or if you want to remove stubborn nail polish. Another reason I avoided buying this was because I thought I would go through it in like two weeks, but surprisingly that hasn't happened so I am super pleased with these and I will definitely be purchasing these again :)

So that is it for this months favourites :) I honestly love all the products I have mentioned and so I would recommend them to everyone, comment below telling me what you have enjoyed using in June :)
